Opened in May of 1999 as The Birmingham Acupressure Centre, The Acupressure Centre has operated as the Pittsburgh regions only studio dedicated to the practice of Thai Massage and Shiatsu. Originally located on the Southside and currently operating out of the historic Penn Brewery building in the city’s Deutschtown neighborhood, the Pittsburgh Centre for Acupressure Therapy (PCAT) has been providing expert services to the greater Pittsburgh region and beyond. Also operating as the Community Acupressure Centre of Pittsburgh, I have been providing services on a donation basis since the reopening of the Centre in 2020 after the initial Covid-19 lockdown period ended.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel or rebook your appointment, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice.

Cancellations or missed appointments without 24-hour notice will result in a charge of part or all of the service amount.

(While rarely implemented, this is included as a reminder that, as the sole owner and employee, these sessions are booked in advanced, scheduled into my calendar and I anticipate the business as it is my primary source of income. A last-minute cancellation makes a significant difference in my daily compensation and my ability to continue operation. Thank you in advance for your understanding.)
